St. Mary's Church, Wreay

Wreay is part of the parish of St Cuthbert Without or simply St Cuthbert within the City of Carlisle district of Cumbria, England.  The parish lies immediately to the south of Carlisle itself and comprises the following settlements - Blackwell, Durdar, Carleton, Brisco and Wreay (the first three are usually regarded as outlying parts of Carlisle, although were not part of the former county borough of Carlisle). According to the 2001 census it had a population of 2,043.

Many of this church's details are within.  There is an excellent overview of its interior here.  There are 84 windows, having a numerical significance of being the product of 3 x 4 x 7.  The proportions and organization of the windows are unusual, but somehow satisfying.  What I really liked were the endearing stone carvings that give this church an entirely unique character.
This church was designed by Sara Losh  between 1840 and 1842 and it certainly has a woman's touch, loving care and attention to detail,.
